ANALOG DEVICES

A page on James Bryant's personal website.

Although this is a private, rather than a business, web page I have always believed that the way to be happy in your work is to find something you like doing and then to find someone who will pay you to do it. I worked for Analog Devices Applications Group (without time off for good behaviour - don't ask why) from 1982 until they retired me in 2009.

My job was Head of European Applications. I was responsible for ensuring that our customers had as few problems as possible when using Analog Devices integrated circuits. This necessitated some lab work, but this was generally done by Field Application Engineers (FAEs), and I was mostly responsible for training our own sales, marketing and applications engineers, and also for giving technical seminars to our customers to ensure that they understood the problem areas of precision analog design. I gave around fifty to sixty full-day seminars per year throughout Europe (and Israel and India - American Companies like Analog are not very good at geography and consider Israel, India and South Africa to be part of Europe - since I have friends in all three countries, and like to visit them, I did not mind in the least), and also ran training courses for sales, marketing and application engineers from Analog and our distributors.

If you have attended any of my seminars or courses and would like to say "Hi!" please send me an email at james(a)jbryant.eu.

If you have a technical problem with an Analog Devices circuit I would be happy to hear about your problem and help you to find a solution, despite being retired. However this is a hobby web page and I cannot always respond quickly - if you need a fast response you should email the European Applications Group at euro.linear(a)analog.com .
