A page on James Bryant's personal website.
Although this is a private, rather than a business, web page I have always believed that the way to be happy in your work is to find something you like doing and then to find someone who will pay you to do it. I have worked for Analog Devices Applications Group since 1982. (I have had no time off for good behaviour - don't ask why!)
My job is Head of European Applications. I am responsible for ensuring that our customers have as few problems as possible when using Analog Devices integrated circuits. This necessitates some lab work, but this is generally done by Field Application Engineers (FAEs), and I am mostly responsible for training our own sales, marketing and applications engineers, and also for giving technical seminars to our customers to ensure that they understand the problem areas of precision analog design. I give around fifty to sixty full-day seminars per year throughout Europe (and Israel and India - American Companies like Analog are not very good at geography and consider Israel and India to be part of Europe - since I have friends in both countries, and like to visit them, I do not mind in the least), and also run training courses for sales, marketing and application engineers from Analog and our distributors.
If you have attended any of my seminars or courses and would like
to say "Hi!" please send me an email at
james.bryant(a)analog.com
.
If you have a technical problem with an Analog Devices circuit
I would be happy to hear about your problem and help you to find
a solution. (However - this is a hobby web page and I always cannot read
my email while travelling - if you need a fast response you should email the European Applications Group at euro.linear(a)analog.com . Note that these addresses have been modified to preven spam robots from finding them - replace (a) with @ before using them.
The 2002/3 Analog Devices' Amplifier Seminar Series
will take place in Europe in 2003. I shall give this seminar in 50 European cities in January-May
and a few more in the Autumn. If you are interested in attending an Analog Devices Technical
Seminar you should contact your local sales office or distributor.
