Philosophy

Even though I am a professional electronic engineer I have a degree in Philosophy and Physics rather than Electrical Engineering. This is because, although I always wanted to work in electronics, electrical engineering degrees in the 1960s contained a lot of heavy machinery and power transmission theory but very little electronics and I decided that philosophy and physics would be a better preparation. I have never had cause to doubt the wisdom of my decision.

I still read a considerable amount of philosophical material. Not, on the whole, explicit philosophy, but linguistics, evolutionary psychology, ethics, and some (simpler) theology. I find that philosophy aids me, both in my job and in everyday life, by helping me to evaluate the essentials of any problem I encounter.

Please recommend further reading for me.
